Red Cross Certification in
CPR/First Aid
Community
Action, Inc. now offers Red Cross Certification training in the following
areas. Trainings held at 145 Essex Street, Haverhill, MA
Adult CPR and AED training
This course focuses on the adult victim and provides single-rescuer CPR
training. The participant will learn skills such as how to respond to
choking and recognize and prevent heart attacks and strokes. It also
includes training on using an automated external defibrillator (AED) on a
victim of sudden cardiac arrest.
Infant/Child CPR and AED training
This is a perfect course for parents, grandparents and children’s
caregivers. Learn how to reduce the risk of injury or death by properly
identifying breathing and cardiac emergencies. Training includes recognizing
the signals of breathing, heart and choking emergencies in infants and young
children, as well as how to perform rescue breathing and CPR.
First Aid training
This course teaches the skills of First Aid and Accident Prevention.
Learn how to recognize and respond to injury or sudden illness, control
bleeding and care for muscle, bone and joint injuries as well as treatment
for burns. There is no CPR training in this course.
