The Mount Washington Alliance (MWA) at Community Action, Inc. seeks a full-time Initiative Director to lead an exciting multi-sectoral community partnership focused on the socio-economic development of Haverhill’s diverse MW neighborhood. Requires demonstrated ability to encourage active resident involvement and to build and grow trusting relationships among residents, community organizations, businesses and public officials aligned with residents’ concerns and priorities. Must develop and implement a strategic plan with neighborhood stakeholders and establish annual action plans defining all stakeholder responsibilities in implementing the strategic plan.
BA/BS or equivalent with 5 years leadership experience in community organizing, community development, organizational development or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred. Salary range is ~$31 - $34/hr, commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits. Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and to navigate in a bilingual, multicultural setting. Bilingual in Spanish with intercultural background preferred. This is a two years +, grant-funded positions through the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston plus local community match.
